Facebook recently gave the ability for your profile video to run automatically on original posts from your personal profile.
Facebook has introduced a feature (Facebook Profile Videos) that lets you use short videos clips as your profile picture, giving you the ability to liven up your Facebook’s profile page a little for when people visit. The moving profile pictures can also be used temporarily, so you could use them to show you blowing out candles on a cake on your birthday, or cheering on your team during sporting events.
HERE’S HOW YOU DO IT!
- Create a video up to 7 seconds. Snapchat or Instagram Stories are great ways to time yourself, but I would suggest using your phone camera to re-record for higher quality.
- Save it on your phone. You cannot upload from your computer, only from your phone.
- You’ll be given the option to select a frame to be your still photo when the video isn’t running. Because of this, you may want to do a little editing with a video editor to get a nice photo of yourself into the video, and select that frame.
- Go practice and let me know if you’re having trouble. Post your struggles in our free social media classroom.
