What’s Your Story?
What’s your story? My story includes losing emotional baggage, finding purpose, and changing direction in life to a fun, happy, healthy me! I’ve always been a dreamer, but this time it feels like those dreams are within reach. Maybe a couple of years? Maybe even 5 years down the road? Regardless of the timeline, I feel like I’m on a path, no matter how much it zigzags, toward fulfilling some lifelong urges.
We all go through “stuff.” Your stuff is way worse than her stuff, and her stuff ain’t got nothing on my cousin’s stuff. And have you heard about his stuff? Oh my! It’s all meant to be a shield – some sort of protection from really being the person we’re supposed to be. Why we spend most of our younger adult years trying to prove our worth to someone else, I do not know. But we do, and it holds us back from our dreams.
I’m reading a book called The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. It talks about doing small things each day that get you moving forward. Each day is a step ahead. Some days we leap and others we fall into a hole. As long as we keep going toward what we want, the effect of our daily doings will multiply, even grow exponentially if we pay it forward.
So, if you’ve ever thought that maybe your dreams, your plans, or your little utopia is out of reach, think again. Pick up a good personal development book. Read a positive story. Listen to some educational podcasts. No matter how you do it, simply do it a little each day.
And don’t forget to take my Life Purpose Challenge to kick start your plans and learn, what’s your story for the next chapter of your life!
